One of the many exciting things that expecting parents get to plan for is a newborn photo session where we will document all of their adorable features that you’ve waited months to finally see in person! But what is the best location for you lifestyle newborn pictures? As a Dallas family and newborn photographer, I get this question a lot! There are three main types of locations for newborn photos–in a photography studio, outdoors, or at home. Each one is a great option, and the decision comes down to personal preference! In this post I will talk about why you might want to schedule studio lifestyle newborn photos.
Studio Newborn Photos
A natural light photography studio is a classic location choice for newborn photos, and the Dallas area studios I use make for a perfect clean and simple backdrop that lets your family and your new baby shine in your photos! This is a wonderful option if you can’t or prefer not to use your home for pictures, whether you are in a rental that is just not your forever home, don’t have enough natural light, or you simply love the look of studio newborn photos! Another benefit is that you won’t have to worry about tidying up your home when you are newly postpartum, and the studio provides beautiful, natural light all throughout the day, so scheduling is simpler than for outdoor or in-home sessions.
It was such a pleasure meeting this sweet family and photographing their newborn baby girl. At only a few weeks old, she already had her parents wrapped around her finger. This natural light studio just outside of Dallas was the perfect backdrop for their lifestyle newborn session!
